Cricket is as close to reality as far is WWE from it. However, Wahab Riaz’s send-off to national team captain Sarfraz Ahmed after dismissing him during a PSL match clearly showed that Riaz likes staying far from it especially his facial expression, which had no hint of banter whatsoever.

With the commencement of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) again, those players who are out of international cricket in Pakistan are back in the limelight now. Standing at the dusk of his career, left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz has been playing T20 league across the world has might have picked up a thing or two, which was seen in the UAE where he turned out for Peshawar Zalmi in their first game. He ended with figures of 2/18 in his four overs.

With a target of 156, the Quetta Gladiators were in some trouble with three wickets down for 71 runs inside the first nine overs. However, skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Akmal turned things in Quetta’s favour with a stand of 62 runs for the fourth wicket.

It was the 17th over of the second innings and Riaz was bowling to Sarfaraz, who was well set on 37 off 29 deliveries. The left-arm pacer bowled a full ball around the off stump as the skipper drove it on the up but couldn’t keep it along the ground. Darren Sammy at cover didn’t make any mistake as he bent down and gobbled that one up easily.

Sarfaraz looked disappointed with that dismissal but much to the delight of Peshawar fans and Riaz, the partnership was broken. Riaz didn't want to waste this chance to rile up the departing captain and celebrated his wicket with an action of slaying his neck pretty much like what we the WWE stars doing.
