How do batsmen feel when they have to return back to the pavilion after an unlucky dismissal in an important game of cricket? Aaron Finch showed what he felt when he destroyed a chair in anger after he had to walk back into the hut after getting run out in an unfortunate manner in the BBL Final.

It was the final encounter of the Big Bash League and the two Melbourne teams were up against each other. The Stars opted to bowl first and the Renegades started their innings with the two of their openers Marcus Harris and Finch. They got off to a terrible start as they lost the wickets of Harris and No. 3 Sam Harper. However, Finch tried to stitch together a partnership with White for the third wicket.

It was the last ball of the powerplay period and White was on strike against Jackson Bird. A full delivery for the batsman and it was there to be driven along the carpet. White did everything right on that occasion as he got right behind the ball to play a straight-batted shot. It was too straight to deny the batsman a boundary as the ball hit the stumps at the other end. If that was not enough to disappoint the Renegades, it was further found that the ball had deflected off the bowler’s boot before hitting the stumps and Finch was backing up too far when the lights flashed. Finch had to depart after scoring only 13 off 10 balls in an unfortunate manner and the Renegades were left reeling at 46/3 in six overs.

Meanwhile, the incident didn’t end there as Finch, while returning to the dressing room, vented out his frustration by smashing a chair on his way.
