Supreme Court appoints DK Jain as BCCI Ombudsman
Retired Supreme Court Justice DK Jain has been appointed as the BCCI Ombudsman and will precede over the recent incident involving Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. The apex court has asked the CoA, which consists of Diana Edulji and Vinod Rai, not to make their differences known to the general public.
There was a lot of heat around Indian youngsters Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul who were in the news for all the wrong reasons more than a month ago. The duo was handed a suspension but Pandya was later allowed to play in the recent series against New Zealand. However, their case is set to go to the Supreme Court under the guidance of a new BCCI Ombudsman.
The Supreme Court confirmed that former SC Judge - Retired Justice DK Jain - has been appointed as the new BCCI Ombudsman.
DK Jain, who was the former chairman of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, will start his tenure by handling the case based against Pandya and Rahul. He will also look into allegations of misconduct against BCCI officials. Justice Jain will resume the post of Ombudsman as soon as possible.

In addition to this, the Supreme Court also cautioned CoA members - Diana Edulji and Vinod Rai - not to go to the public and discuss details of the happenings within the organisation.
