One of the greatest left-arm fast bowlers the world has ever seen, Wasim Akram praised Steve Smith for his consistency even after having an unorthodox style of batting. Smith scored a mammoth 774 runs in the Ashes series which marked his comeback in style and Akram gave some tips on getting him out.

Steve Smith's return to Test cricket could not have been any better as he piled on the misery on England, scoring 774 runs in the four Tests that he played at an astonishing average of 110.57 and helped Australia retain the Ashes in England after 18 long years. Pakistan are now set to face Australia in their own den and Smith will be one of the major threats to bat Pakistan out of the game.

Due to his unorthodox style of batting, it has been very difficult for bowlers to get him out of late and his timing has been impeccable. Wasim Akram threw light on how Smith is different from the players he has played against and also gave some advice to the Pakistan bowlers on how to get him out.

"I played against the greats of the game ... but Smithy's very, very different. Sometimes he stands outside off stump, sometimes he stands middle, sometimes leg stump," Akram told nine.com.au

"Concentrate on what you want, don't follow his stance, his movement and go for your plans, not his," he added.

Smith was again the nemesis of Pakistan in the T20I series as they faced their second consecutive whitewash after Sri Lanka, this time Down Under at the hands of the Aussies.
