Debutant left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem believes that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are probably two of the best spinners in the world at the moment. Nadeem has further added that he has been working on his followthrough so as to ensure that his body went on with his action.

India's unmatchable domination at home are scripted by some of the finest batting performances in the generation, but nothing comes close to what the duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have managed to do in these conditions. Arguably two of the best practitioners of the skill the world cricket has right now, they had enough things to share with Nadeem, when the latter made his India debut suddenly after getting a call from the BCCI.

"It's fun. They can share their experiences, and what to do, and what not do. They are probably two of the best spinners in the world, and there's so much to learn from everything they do," Nadeem told of his teammates, reported the Times of India.

After 15 years of wait in the domestic cricket, Nadeem got his chance to make his India debut, and it couldn't have been better than getting his India cap at his home venue of Ranchi. Being a fine performer in domestic cricket, Nadeem deserves every bit of what he eventually got and that had made him emotional.

"I was excited, and a bit emotional too, but then I concentrated on what I had to do in the game. I was nervous for the first three balls, especially during my run-up. My nerves settled during the fourth ball. When you have played cricket for so many years, you're ready to play 6am in the morning after getting a 4 am call. It was around 2.30pm on Friday and I was observing Namaaz (prayer) when my phone kept ringing. I finished my prayer and saw that I was being called for the Test. I came by road from Kolkata," the left-arm spinner added.

"It's been a good journey, I had to work hard to reach here. As a cricketer you dream to come on TV after seeing many players on TV. I also had dreamt that people should watch my performance on TV. It feels great."

After bagging two wickets in the first innings, he bagged a pair of wickets in the second innings too, giving the finishing touches to the game. Nadeem said he needs to work on his bowling action to be more effective.

"I have been working on my follow-through, and I need to ensure that my body weight goes on with my action."
