IND vs SA | Heavy downpour in Dharamshala puts India-South Africa T20 in doubt
The first T20I game between India and South Africa might get washed out as heavy downpour in the mountain city has created a situation of uncertainty. Commentator Harsha Bhogle has tweeted that there is a massive downpour in the city at the moment which in turn puts the 1st T20I in jeopardy.
After a disastrous World Cup campaign, South Africa is ready to shift their focus to the 2020 T20 World Cup in Australia and in what has come as the first trial for a new set of players, they will take on India - a team that has never failed to beat them in T20Is at home. However, South Africa's hopes might end as just a mere hope as the game is expected to be affected by rain and it will be a miracle if it indeed goes ahead.
The ground has very good drainage facility but the intensity of the rain is so heavy that it might derail it altogether. However, as per Accuweather.com, rain might stop in the evening and if that happens, a curtailed game is on the cards.
As per the T20I rules, the minimum cut-off for a game to take place is six overs, otherwise, the umpires will call it off altogether. But all things said, the chances of a match happening currently looks pretty dull.
