Kyle Jamieson, who played a key part in New Zealand's WTC title win, stated that winning the final is a massive moment for him and the whole experience feels surreal. He also added that to get Virat Kohli twice in the Test was great given he's a world-class player, and playing at RCB helped.

Kyle Jamieson, the most inexperienced of all the bowlers in the game, turned out to be the most lethal as he finished the big game with figures of 7/61, bowling a remarkable 46 overs. He turned out to be the differentiator between both sides. Be it his line and length, control, movement, ability to strike when needed, or playing a cameo with the bat, the 8 Test-old didn't put a wrong foot forward in the marquee clash.

In both the innings, his strikes had induced a collapse in the Indian innings. Even on day six, it was his twin strikes of Kohli and Pujara that helped New Zealand get the upper hand after which they bundled-out India for 170. Reflecting on the historic triumph, Jamieson stated that it was a massive moment to win the inaugural WTC title.

"It's a massive moment. To have some context around Test cricket is big and to be standing here now is surreal. I knew we had a big first hour today. We had the ball in the right areas, and we knew it would be a tough task. It's nice to have the ball first up and play your part. It's nice to have a chance to do good things for the team. The work that the other bowlers did was really helpful for my figures," Jamieson said at the presentation ceremony.

Kyle Jamieson and Virat Kohli are teammates for the Bangalore-based franchise in the IPL. However, when they were pitted against each other, it was the lanky Kiwi quick who had his number. In fact, he got him out with an in-swinger in the first innings and then in quite opposite manner, got the better of him with an out-swinger in the second innings. Jamieson asserted that it was great to see the back of a 'world-class' Kohli.

"Virat is a world-class player, and it was good to have some experience against him at RCB. To pick him up twice in the Test was great."
