Oftentimes on the field, fielders get confused due to the noise of the crowd, as well as due to miscommunication. The same incident happened during MI's IPL 2022 game versus SRH, when neither Jasprit Bumrah nor Sanjay Yadav called for a catch before it was dropped.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) got off to an excellent start against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 65 of IPL 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. They raced to 57/1 at the end of Powerplay after Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked them to bat. Rahul Tripathi was batting on 24 off 13 balls, alongside Priyam Garg, who was on 20 off 13 balls.

Had a strange incident not happened at Wankhede Stadium, MI could have got their second wicket in the sixth over. It was Daniel Sams' third over, and he almost got better of Garg with a sharp bouncer. Garg tried to pull, but only got a top edge. The ball went straight to fine leg between Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjay Yadav. It was more close to Sanjay, who tried to grab the catch. However, Bumrah came into his eyeline, and because of that, the ball slip through his palms.

Here's how the strange incident happened at Wankhede:
