Southern Brave returned to winning form with a seven-wicket victory over Manchester Originals. Despite struggles with their top-order batting, Wayne Madsen's 43 off 37 balls helped the Originals reach 116/6 whereas the Brave's top and middle-order batting ensured a win with 22 balls remaining.

‌Manchester Originals' struggles at the top of the order persisted as Southern Brave won the toss and chose to field. Manchester's opener Phil Salt was dismissed on the 13th ball, soon followed by Max Holden on the 15th delivery bowled by Craig Overton. With Sikandar Raza and Wayne Madsen at the crease, the Originals were at 30/2 after 35 balls. The situation worsened when Raza fell on the 36th delivery bringing Paul Walter to the crease. The Brave bowlers continued their dominance with Chris Jordan claiming Walter's wicket leaving the Originals at 54/4 after 60 deliveries. However, Jamie Overton and Madsen provided a vital partnership adding 50 runs to take the score to 92/4 by the 85th ball. However, Overton's departure on the 91st delivery didnt make much difference as  Madsen's resilient innings of 43 off 37 balls helped the Originals reach 116/6.

The Braves got off to a flying start with Alex Davis setting the pace with a quick 24 off 11 balls bringing the score to 35/0 by the third over. However, the Originals found success with a change to spin as Tom Hartley dismissed Davis on the 16th ball. Thereafter, James Vince and Leus du Plooy then took the reins and added 33 runs and taking the score to 62/1 by the eighth over. Usama Mir then struck removing Braves' skipper Vince on the 50th ball. Following Vince's departure, du Plooy also fell as the Originals started to make their presence felt. With only 25 runs needed from 33 balls, the 2021 champions were on the brink of victory. Ultimately, Laurie Evans’ 23 off 14 balls towards the end ensured a comfortable seven-wicket win for the Brave and propelling them to the third spot in the points table.
