Mistakes aren’t hard to remember and the Pakistan cricket team’s fielding have imprinted an everlasting impression for the wrong reasons. When Sam Curran and Will Jacks doned the ground against the Southern Brave in the recent Men‘s Hundred game, they ended up recreating a similar blunder.

Aiming to extend their winning streak in the fourth edition of the Men’s Hundred, Oval Invincibles skipper Sam Billings decided to field first after winning the toss. Their pacers backed up the decision in an excellent manner with the spinners adding further dents into the opposition camp. However, James Vince and Kieron Pollard tried to absorb the pressure with luck favouring them, courtesy of Sam and Jacks’s miscommunication for a catching opportunity.

On the 68th ball of the innings, Spencer Johnson came over the wicket and bowled a fuller delivery outside the stumps, across James Vince. The skipper tried to hack the ball and incurred a top edge with the ball skewing up. Sam at extra cover saw Jacks sprinting towards the ball but failed to realise that it would be easier for him to grab the white cherry. Eventually, Jacks failed to make ground and was looking at Sam who hid his face with the palm. Eventually, the horrendous miscommunication between two of the great fielders of Oval gave flashbacks of Pakistan’s comical fielding involving Saeed Ajmal and Shoaib Malik to the Twitterverse.
