Net sessions can often be entertaining as one gets to witness the ‘beyond the scenes’ of renowned cricketers. Similarly, India-turned-Australian reporter Bharat Sunderasan caught Jasprit Bumrah emulating Ravichandran Ashwin to mark Thursday’s practice session ahead of the Gabba Test.

Australia equalized the tally 1-1 in the five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy after an emphatic ten-wicket win against India at the Adelaide Oval. As a result, Rohit Sharma’s return to captaincy didn’t quite go well with the passionate Indian fans as Bumrah led the troop to a memorable victory in Perth, which the former failed to achieve. With the focus shifting to Brisbane, Bumrah was in the spotlight two days before match day due to his bag of tricks.

One of the videos circulating on social media caught Bumrah bowling leg-spin at the practice session. He tried to flight the ball with Ashwin beside the pacer. Soon, he started emulating the 37-year-old’s bowling action and sprayed a couple of deliveries at the batter. However, this did not go on for long as Bumrah fastracked into pace bowling in quick time, prompting the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
