As per ESPNCricinfo, the 2025 Champions Trophy schedule is likely to see India and Pakistan lock horns against one another on February 19 considering the proposals laid out by BCCI and the PCB earlier. The ICC will follow the hybrid model with no reserve days for the semi-finals.

The final schedule of the upcoming ICC event have been finalised after numerous specialisations and arguments surrounding the political tension between India and Pakistan. There are two groups - A and B. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand constitute the initial group whereas the next one can be labeled as the group of death, featuring Australia, South Africa, Afghanistan, and England.

The curtain raiser will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on February 19. India’s first match will be against Bangladesh the next day while they will square off against New Zealand on March 2. All of India’s games will be staged in the UAE. While the semi-finals on March 4 and 5 are subject to change, depending on India’s chances of making it to the knockout stage.

If India, makes it to the semis, their knockout encounter will be held in UAE else it will be held in Pakistan. Similar is the case for the finals, where the tourney’s main event could be shifted to UAE from Lahore, provided India make the cut.

The PCB have come to terms with the following hybrid model based on a similar treatment when an ICC event is supposed to be staged in India. This covers the 2025 Women's World Cup in India, the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, and the 2028 Women's T20 World Cup.
