SA vs PAK | Twitter, Stubbs, and Conrad stunned as Bavuma walks off without nicking the ball
Mistakes are common in any particular realm, but repeating errors is unforgivable. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma almost cost his side a win after not reviewing his dismissal that was mistaken for an inside edge during the morning session of the Boxing Day Test between Pakistan and South Africa.
Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma opted a cautious approach against the Pakistan bowlers that purchased low bounce and seam movements. The pair seemed relaxed and ticked off the scorecard with regular strike rotation and occasional boundaries. However, Mohammad Abbas’ low kept seaming in delivery and got the better of Aiden Markram at the cusp of Drinks Break before David Baddingham played second fiddle to Bavuma. In some time, the Proteas skipper departed as well and has nothing but blame himself for it.
The fourth ball of the 30th over saw Abbas come over the wicket and bowl a good length delivery angling into Bavuma who tried to drive it on the up. However, he played the wrong line and got beaten on the inside edge en route to the wicketkeeper. While the umpire acknowledged the Pakistani appeal by raising his finger, Bavuma nonchalantly trudged off the field for the long walk to the dressing room. However, the replays showed that there was no bat involved, as spotted via Ultraedge. As a result, the cameras caught coach Shukri Conrad and Tristan Stubbs stunned in the dressing room. Right after, South African lower order fell like nine pins, stirring the Twitterverse to use the ‘Choker’ tag.
What was that????

Didn't expect this!
Temba Bavuma has ZERO game sense. You're one of the last proper batters of your team, you take the review even if you think there's a 5% chance but Bavuma decided not to take the review despite him clearly not edging it. 👏🏻👏🏻

This was so bad!
Temba Bavuma is the sole responsible for this

you as a batsman must know whether the ball hits the bat of left side pocket
but pressure times he immediately left to the dugout without taking any review if Proteas failed to win this match and this is the major reason 😕🙁
