Hanuma Vihari finally secured a NOC from the Andhra Cricket Association after 3 months of simmering tension
Hanuma Vihari has finally received the No Objection Certificate from the Andhra Cricket Board after a contentious dispute with the state association. In February, Vihari declared his intention to transfer to another domestic team, citing humiliation after being removed from his captaincy.
Vihari was abruptly stripped of his captaincy after leading Andhra in just one game in Ranji earlier this year. The 30-year-old attributed his resignation to 'political interference,' which he claimed left him with no choice but to step down from his leadership role.
Taking to social media, the Former Indian Cricketer said, “ I have been asking for NOC for 2 months, mailed them 4 times. Didn’t give my NOC. Now that things have turned, they’ve issued my NOC immediately”
Meanwhile, the NOC confirms that the ACA no longer harbours any objections to Vihari representing any other associations under BCCI. This grants him the freedom to join any team starting from the next Ranji season.
