‌India have finally broken their eleven-year-long wait for an ICC trophy by lifting the T20 World Cup 2024 on Caribbean soil. The team put up a valiant defence after the Proteas had boiled down the equation to less than run-a-ball with five overs to go courtesy of some stellar bowling by Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya.

Moreover, Virat Kohli took the moment to announce and end to his decade-plus T20I career while Rahul Dravid finally became a World Champion after suffering two final defeats in the 2003 and 2023 ODI World Cups respectively.
