What is common between the cricket at the elite level and every household with two or more children? Sibling rivalries. Brothers Sarfaraz Khan and Musheer Khan experienced contrasting fortunes in the Duleep Trophy on Thursday and the former's teammates did not let the fact slip under the radar.

India B fought back resilliently from a horrid position of 94/7 to end up with 202/7 on the board at Stumps on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy encounter against Indai A at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Musheer Khan played the rescuing hand in the faltering innings with a potentially match-saving century, staying not-out on 105 at the end of the day while being part of a 108-run unbeaten stand with Navdeep Saini. While the 19-year-old's success was cherished ecstatically by his teammates, one particular member of the side had to bear the brunt for his brother's achievements.

Sarfaraz Khan earlier in the day had been trapped in front of the stumps by Avesh Khan for just nine after a placcid 35-ball knock. Thus when Musheer brought up his ton towards the end of the day's play, the cameras caught Rishabh Pant tugging at Sarfaraz's shirt in an attempt to keep him seated in the balcony and watch his younger brother bat. However, Sarfaraz was having none of it as he shook himself free of Pant's grip and headed inside where Yashasvi Jaiswal comfortingly patted him on the shoulders albeit with a smirk on his face.

Twitterati did not take much time to pour social media with comments over the sibling rivalry on the national stage.
