Batsmen are responsible for scoring runs and keeping the scoreboard moving, but occasionally, they amusingly take on unexpected roles. This was the case on the third day of the India-Bangladesh Test match, where Rishabh Pant, while batting, was humorously seen setting the field for Bangladesh.

‌India was in control on the third day, with Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill starting the session with an aggressive intent. Their objective was clear: to post a challenging total that would make it difficult for Bangladesh to chase. Gill, who had been struggling to find his rhythm, finally reached a well-deserved fifty off 79 balls, while the left-handed Pant showcased his flair with a brisk half-century off 88 deliveries. Together, the duo propelled India to 193/3 in 49 overs.

Amid the action, Pant became the centre of attention for something humorous. When the southpaw prepared to face Mehidy Hasan Miraz, he turned to Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, humorously suggesting a field adjustment. He called out in Hindi, "Arey, idhar aayega ek. Idhar  ek kam fielder hai" (Place a fielder here. There aren’t enough fielders on this side)," pointing towards the leg side, which was left wide open. Surprisingly, Shanto obliged to Pant and positioned a fielder in the midwicket area per Pant's suggestion.

Pant's playful antics quickly caught the attention of fans on social media, with many taking to Twitter to share their amusement at the light-hearted moment.

LOL!
