BBL | Twitter in disbelief as giant Jack Edwards defies physics with insane flying take at point

Every human body has certain natural limitations depending upon its shape and size -- for instance, a 6 foot 4 inch giant cannot take off at will in a split second and go flying to his side. Well, Jack Edwards certainly does not believe in any of that, as was evident during the BBL Qualifier.

‌Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers locked horns at the Bellerive Oval on Tuesday to try and earn a direct spot in the final while the loser would be resigned to playing another qualifying game against the loser of the Knockout between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars. The hosts got off to a rapid start upon being asked to bat as the destructive Mitchell Owen smashed 36 runs in just 15 deliveries, ramming three boundaries and three maximums in the process. However, even after the opener departed, things barely got any better on paper for the visitors with the castly experienced and explosive Matthew Wade walking in, hoping to capitalize on a relatively flat surface. Even though the wicket-keeper batter failed in his mission, he can breathe easy knowing it was only a freak of nature that caused his dismissal.

Wade, having faced six deliveries for four runs up until the point, decided to go after debutant Mitchell Perry as soon as he got on strike in the seventh over. The quick made the prospect even more tempting by dishing one wide and back of a length, allowing his counterpart to free the arms and hammer the ball into the gap. However, Edwards at backward point had other plans. The 194cm beast shuffled a couple of steps before launching himself at full stretch to his right, one arm extended over the head. Somehow, the Kookaburra stuck in Edwards' palm and stayed there even after his young counterpart landed, disbelief writ large all over his face amidst players running towards him and swarming at the first instance.

Twitterati was quick to call the catch 'Rhode-esque catch' while asking the spectacular grab to be placed in the Hall of Fame for its sheer beauty and agility.

Incredible catch!
