IND W vs BAN W | Twitter impressed as alert Radha Yadav catches Nigar Sultana napping with excellent throw
Radha Yadav has always been someone who has proved her reliability on the field time and again. The left-arm spinner came to the fore again during the India-Bangladesh group game in the Women’s ODI World Cup with an excellent piece of fielding that caught Nigar Sultana short of the crease.

With a considerable amount of time lost, the contest was further reduced to 27-overs-a-side as both teams took the field again after a lengthy delay. It looked as if the Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana was not yet switched on, even after the restart, as her casual approach cost the wicketkeeper-batter her wicket four overs after the restart.
In the second ball of the 17th over, Amanjot Kaur bowled short and wide as Sharmin Akhter tried to beat Radha Yadav at point with a full-blooded cut shot. But Radha, as ever, was sharp as she caught the ball before throwing towards the non-striker's end.
Sultana, who had already taken a start, was a tad lazy in making her way back to the crease, and that was enough for Radha to create a breakthrough. Just as the Bangladesh skipper tried to stretch her bat and make ground, the bullet throw disturbed the stumps, with the Indian players enthusiastically going for the appeal.
Just as the replays showed that the batter was short of her crease, the jubilant Indian players came rushing to congratulate the excellent fielding effort. Jemimah Rodrigues jumped onto a chuffed Radha with other players also embracing her for the wonderful throw.
Twitter was in awe as Radha Yadav made it count in her first game of the ODI World Cup.
