Twitter Goes Wild as Kohli Scripts History with 9000 IPL Runs
Virat Kohli continues to etch history in the game, as he dominates in the IPL. Playing the tournament for a long time, he already has a number of records to his name. In the clash against Delhi Capitals, he went on to become the first player to score 9000 runs in the IPL.

Virat Kohli stands at a whole different level as compared to any other player in the Indian Premier League. He has been among the four players who have been a part of every season. Yet Kohli remains the only one who has a number of records to his name, showcasing his consistency in the tournament.
He was already the leading run scorer in the IPL history. But in the clash against Delhi Capitals, he went on to break another record. Delhi Capitals only managed to post 75 runs on the board, but it was still enough for Kohli to get another record to his name. He has now become the only player to have scored 9000 runs in the IPL history.
No other player has managed to reach such a mark in the tournament history, making King Kohli stand levels above.
Here's how Twitter has reacted to Kohli reaching the 9000 runs milestone.

Crazy Stat
A 500 run IPL season is considered elite. 23 players have multiple 500+ run seasons.

If you scored 500 runs every season from 2008 to 2025, you'd still be short of Kohli’s IPL tally.
19 seasons. 6732 balls faced. 14 opponents.8 hundreds. 66 fifties. 131 scores of 30+. 808… pic.twitter.com/WIobCFpHmE
If a player has managed to score 500 runs in each and every IPL season, he would still stand short of the tally which has been created by Virat Kohli. The user has talked about all seasons from IPL 2008 to 2025.
