The trade deal involving Hardik Pandya is now back on the table. Seven teams have shown interest in having Hardik Pandya on their side, as RCB and SRH watch the game. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders seem to be the key contenders.

The IPL trade window has started to heat up in just a month of the tournament’s end. We have already seen one trade deal happening, but another one is reportedly on the cards. And in this deal, Hardik Pandya is reported to be the centre of attention for not just one, but seven teams.

The reports claim that 7 teams have shown interest in having Hardik Pandya in their side. The only two teams which remain out of this race are Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With these two teams having a complete line-up ready with them, it is known that having Hardik to their side won't be doing much in the upcoming season.

However, a major update is that Chennai Super Kings has also entered the race. The main battle for the Indian all-rounder will be between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, both of which are multiple time IPL champions.

Our Take

Chennai Super Kings entering the trade battle for Hardik Pandya feels surreal. Having Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni in the same team would be on the bingo cards of all the cricketing fans around the world. But the real challenge CSK faces right now is with Kolkata Knight Riders, who were the first team to enter the trade deal for Hardik Pandya. It remains to be seen which of these two teams will be offering a better option to Mumbai Indians and finalise the deal as soon as possible.
