Bhuvneshwar Kumar Opens Up on His India Comeback Chances.

The Indian cricket fans have been waiting for the comeback of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The pace veteran was able to display some of the finest performances in the recent IPL season, which helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru to defend the title successfully. Even after giving his best, he still does not stand in contention to make a comeback in the Indian team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was able to finish at the second spot in the Purple Cap rankings, right behind Kagiso Rabada. It should be noted that his last international performance for the Indian team came in 2022, and since then, he has not been a part of the Indian team across any format. Watching his IPL performances, there were calls on his international comeback.

However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar reacted to this incident. He said, “It's my nature that I don't want to show that I want to play. I think everyone is doing their job. Selectors are doing their job. I'm doing my job. It's their responsibility to select. If they think I'm good enough, they will do their job.”

Our Take

The reply given by Bhuvneshwar Kumar on his international comeback is now winning hearts. He didn't call out the selectors for not selecting him for any of the upcoming series. Instead, he calmly reacted to this situation and even said that if the selectors think he is good enough, he will make it to the team. It remains to be seen how Bhuvi will be performing in the domestic and even the IPL 2027 season.
