Sanjay Manjrekar Questions Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Selection Decision
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was once again a part of India A’s playing XI. Even after an onfield altercation against the Sri Lanka A bowlers, the India A team found Vaibhav Sooryavanshi opening again. Sanjay Manjrekar has weighed in on the same, as he talked about his possible exclusion.

India A is playing another do-or-die game against Afghanistan A in the tri-series. And even after their previous match was marred by a controversy, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi found himself playing the game again. His name was listed in India A’s playing XI, as the team batted first in this crucial match.
When the playing XI of the game was announced, Sanjay Manjrekar, former Indian cricketer, had something to say about Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He said that if he would have been the coach of the India A team, he would have dropped Vaibhav from this game. Manjrekar said that this would have given Vaibhav a lesson for getting involved in a physical altercation on the field.
If I was India A coach or manager I would have left Vaibhav Suryavanshi out for this game v AFG. Only to let him know that’s it’s not OK to get physical on the field. Whatever the provocations.

This tweet from Sanjay Manjrekar has received mixed reactions from the fans. But the performance of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has raised more concerns. Even in this game, he was able to score 38 runs for the team, failing to register another big score.
Our Take
Sanjay Manjrekar has made a bold comment on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The controversy between the two teams erupted verbally, but it extended when Vaibhav pushed one of the Sri Lanka A bowlers. While it remains to be seen what actions will be taken on Sooryavanshi, his performances in the List A games still remain a major concern. And while everyone is loving the way he has played in the shortest format of the game, his aggression in the match against Sri Lanka A was questioned.
