Team India Receive Huge Squad Update Ahead of England Clash
The Indian team has received some major updates ahead of the England ODI series. Nitish Kumar Reddy has still not started his rehabilitation at the BCCI CoE. Meanwhile Shubman Gill and KL Rahul are expected to join the team early in England.

The ODI series between India and England is about to commence soon, as the Indian team gears up for the ODI action yet again. Coming after winning their previous series against Afghanistan, the team will be eager to win over England this time. Some major updates related to the squad have been announced ahead of the same.
Nitish Kumar Reddy, one of the key all-rounders for the team, may not be available for the series. He suffered a quadriceps injury in the second ODI against Afghanistan. And reportedly, the BCCI has advised Nitish to take more rest which has delayed his rehabilitation further, likely pulling him out of the ODI series against England.
It has also been reported that the Indian team will be arriving in batches for the ODI series against England. Shubman Gill and KL Rahul will be arriving early, and start with their preparations for the series. The other players in the team are expected to link up with the squad on 12 July.
Our Take
Nitish Kumar Reddy has suffered with a major blow and he is almost confirmed to be ruled out of the series. The Indian team will be announcing a replacement for him soon, before the series begins. However, the series against England still comes as a major challenge, since this is where India's real preparation for the ODI World Cup 2027 begins. With players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and more, India will aim to dominate England.
