Reports say that a total of 17 Indian players have registered themselves for the auction of the tournament. With the auction set to take place next week, it remains to be seen which one of them takes the most.

This also includes some big names such as Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Yastika Bhatia, and Shreyanka Patil. They have been dominant for the Indian team in the shortest format of the game and now will be eager to find their names among the biggest buys of the tournament.

The Women's Hundred Auction

The auction for the Women's Hundred is now all set to take place on 11 March at Piccadilly Lights in London. This is just one day before the auction of Men's Hundred will take place at the exact same venue. It is for the first time when the Women's Hundred will be going through an auction.

Earlier the tournament took place with the help of the draft system, and now they have made a significant shift to the auction system like the IPL. Another great step taken by the ECB for the auction was increasing the purse 100% for each team. The teams are now having a purse of £880,000, which is far more than that of the previous editions.

In the auction, each team has to build their squad with a maximum of 15 players. With the participation of overseas players in the auction, the limit of overseas players per team has also been increased to four. With four players per squad, it will be great to see which Indian player lands in which team.

The salary structure of the tournament has also changed slightly. Players who are present in the top-tier could expect to earn around £130,000 in the tournament. On the other hand, the minimum base signings have also increased to a great extent, being increased 50% to £15,000.

Big Players in Auction

Several big names have been spotted in the auction list of Women's Hundred. Smriti Mandhana has already been signed before the auction by Manchester Super Giants. Earlier known as Manchester Originals, this team has now been bought by the RPSG Group, which also owns Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.

Jemimah Rodrigues is yet another player who is a part of Southern Brave right before the auction. She moved to this team from Northern Superchargers, and will be playing for them in the upcoming season. Playing for Southern Brave, Smriti Mandhana has laid her hands on Women's Hundred title back in 2023, while Jemimah Rodrigues is yet to win the title.

Deepti Sharma

Deepti Sharma is also a part of the auction in the Women's Hundred. She has been at the best of her career right now, as a few months back, she dominated for India in the ODI World Cup. Deepti won the POTS award for the Indian team, contributing with both bat and ball. She has also played two editions of the tournament in 2021 and 2024, while fans expect her to return in 2026.

Yastika Bhatia

It has been a long time since Yastika Bhatia has made it to the field for an official game. She last played for India A in the series against Australia A team. After suffering an injury which ruled her out for a few months, the Women's Hundred could be a great moment for her to make a comeback.

Sree Charani

Sree Charani has also created her name in the shortest format of the game. She also dominated for Delhi Capitals in the recent edition of the Women's Premier League, taking 14 wickets in 10 matches. It should be noted that she was a part of the Indian team for the Women's World Cup, and took 14 wickets in 9 games.
