Reports | Manchester United set to make a final offer for Harry Maguire
Manchester United have decided to make one final push to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, after having multiple offers rejected by the Foxes. The Red Devils formally submitted a final £80 million offer for the 26-year-old, setting a deadline until Monday for Leicester to decide.
Talksport reports that Manchester United have tabled their last offer to sign England star Harry Maguire, after being stonewalled by Leicester. The Red Devils have been trying to sign Maguire all summer, and are making one last push to secure the center-back, with one week left before the transfer window closes.
Manchester United submitted an £80 million offer for the 26-year-old. If the two sides reach an agreement, Maguire will become the most expensive defender in the world, surpassing the fee that Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk.
Leicester announced this morning, on their Twitter account, the squad numbers for 2019/2020, and Harry Maguire features on the list with No 15. While this was revealed, the Foxes also did not include Maguire in Leicester's squad number video, increasing the doubts surrounding his presence in the club.
As the transfer window for Premier League clubs close next Thursday, these last days promise to be very active for Manchester United.
