Juventus star Moise Kean rejected a move to Arsenal to join Everton, with the Gunners keen on hijacking the move for the Italian starlet. The 19-year-old finished last season with six goals in just 13 appearances at an average of a goal every 89 minutes and became a hot topic in the process.

Juventus star Moise Kean is all set to join Everton this summer, with the Guardian reporting that the 19-year-old has agreed to sign for the Toffees. He’ll join them on an initial €29 million fee with a fee that could rise to €40 million, plus Kean’s €2.75 million per year wages. The deal is in its final stages with Kean set to fly to England for his medical and official confirmation.

However, it seems that Arsenal was very very keen on hijacking the move for the 19-year-old and bringing him to the Emirates Stadium instead. The North London side do have a move for Nicolas Pepe on the books but the Daily Mail has revealed that Kean was their first target, even contacting his agent Mino Raiola.

But the Juventus striker opted against the move with Unai Emery’s side was unable to promise him first-team football next season. The Gunners already have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as their first-team strikers and that would see Kean fall behind them in the club’s pecking order.

If the deal does go through, however, the Toffees are looking to build their team around the 19-year-old, with Everton hoping that he can become another Romelu Lukaku.
