ISL 2019 | Jamshedpur FC sign Spanish striker Francisco Medina Luna from Greece
Jamshedpur has reportedly signed Spanish striker Francisco Medina Luna from Greek’s top tier league PAS Lamia as they keep strengthening their attack after an average season last time. The club saw star midfielder Mario Arques moving to Kerala Blasters and they need to bring reinforcements fast.
Under Cesar Ferrando’s management, Jamshedpur FC’s league position didn’t see any movements whatsoever as they could not finish in the fifth place for a second consecutive year. However, in terms of playing, the club has created waves with Jamshedpur’s home games seeing huge crowds consistently.
In the likes of Pablo Morgado, Tim Cahill, Carlos Calvo, and more, the club played some entertaining football and would want to keep it that way despite the fact that they have already lost the likes of Arques and Michael Soosairaj.
And in keeping with that, the club has signed the 37-year old winger, popularly known as Piti, as Goal reports. The striker, basically a wide forward and a winger, was playing from Greek’s Las Plamia, where he played 25 matches scoring twice and assisting once.
The veteran striker has played for numerous Spanish clubs that include the likes of Rayo Vallecano, Real Zaragoza, Granada CF, and more. He has played 337 matches in his entire career so far, scoring 64 goals and providing 21 times.
