Reports | Manchester United to offer €60 million for Nicolo Zaniolo
Manchester United are set to spend heavily next summer with a €60 million move for AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo. The Italian starlet had a brilliant breakout season last term and has kept his run of form going with five goals in just seventeen appearances this season for the Serie A giants.
With Andreas Periera and Fred struggling to make an impact for Manchester United, reports have indicated that the Red Devils are eyeing midfield reinforcements. They’ve been linked with a move for Burno Fernandes once again but Italian news outlet Calciomercato has reported that Nicolo Zaniolo is their top target. The 20-year-old midfielder has become one of the hottest young prospects in world football with his performances last season impressing more than a few sides.
However, while Zaniolo opted to stay at AS Roma, things may change in next summer with the Red Devils keen on a €60 million move for the Italian starlet. The report went on to add that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company have already sent several scouts to watch the budding midfielder and believe that he can make a genuine impression on their team.
Manchester United won’t be the only team in the race however, with AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester City, and Inter Milan all keen on a move for the 20-year-old. However, with Roma looking for at least €60 million for the midfielder, it has seen Inter Milan and Manchester City cool their interest.
