Premier League side Manchester United are set to step up their pursuit of Leicester City duo James Maddison and Ben Chilwell who are rated in the bracket of Ā£130 million. The Red Devils have endured a miserable start to the Premier League campaign, lying just two points above the relegation zone.

Manchester United have collected just 9 points in 8 games prompting to their worst Premier League start in 30 years due to which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be handed a hefty transfer budget in January to upgrade the squad and improve the situation, as per the Sun. The report further added that the Manchester giants have sent scouts to observe Leicester City stars Ben Chilwell and James Maddison as Solskjaer feels the pair willĀ help the team. The Norwegian was left impressed by the duo after the Red Devils'1-0 win over Leicester in September.

ā€œWe have already compiled a scouting report of both of them. We have been watching them for a few years now. They fit all the right requirements and criteria in terms of quality and keeping an English core which is important. Ole likes them but it would be difficult to get them both at the same time. We will have to wait and see what happens,ā€ said a United source to the Sun.Ā

The Red Devils have already lured one of the Leicester players Harry Maguire to Old Trafford with the centre-back joining Manchester United for a world-record sum for a defender. The former Molde boss could flex the clubā€™s financial muscle once again to now bring Ā£130 million duo to the club. James Maddison, who scored the winner against Tottenham and was again on the scoresheet against Liverpool, recently pulled out of Gareth Southgateā€™s England squad after falling ill.

However, reports indicate that Solskjaer remains focused on buying a striker in the winter transfer window after Marcus Rashford has been highly unproductive and inconsistent in front of the goal.
