Would be nice if Bastian Schweinsteiger was involved at Bayern, admits Ottmar Hitzfeld

Bayern Munich legend Ottmar Hitzfeld expressed his desire of seeing former Bayern captain Bastian Schweinsteiger embrace a career as a coach. The iconic coach who won 2 Champions League titles believes that the 35-year-old midfielder would be a fantastic option for Bayern's staff team.

The former Germany and Bayern Munich captain confirmed that he would retire once the MLS season officially got over and with Chicago Fire unable to reach the playoffs their season is over with the club looking towards the future. Bastian Schweinsteiger walks away from football with a overflowing trophy cabinet that includes the 2014 FIFA World Cup, eight Bundesliga titles, one Champions League trophy, one Europa League trophy and one FA Cup amongst many others.

And that has seen Bayern Munich legend Ottmar Hitzfeld has admitted that Bastian Schweinsteiger would become a highly successful coach in the near future.  The iconic coach who won 14 titles for Bayern and went on to admit that the 35-year-old midfielder should consider a career as a coach once he retires and admitted that the German's tactical understanding is simply incredible. 

“I think he can become a very good teacher and coach. He has evolved, he is resistant to pressure and he’s good at getting his message across. As a player, Bastian was world-class. He always had a great deal of tactical understanding and was always very eager to talk. I think it would be nice if he was involved at Bayern,” said Hitzfeld in an interview with the German newspaper Sport Bild.
