My wishlist includes Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, reveals David Beckham
English superstar David Beckham has recently founded a new club in Miami, called Inter Miami. At the time he's still continuing to recruit players who could join the team, while also dreaming about the possibility of having Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo together on the next upcoming season.
David Beckham is hopeful of having Lionel Messi to play for his new team next season, according to the Daily Mail. The former England captain has already contacted the Argentinian about the possibility of joining Inter Miami, but chances are not high as Messi is still in the peak of his career and will look to keep adding titles to his history.
Contacts between Lionel Messi and David Beckham happened after it was leaked that the superstar could leave on a free transfer at the end of the 2019/2020 season if he wants. However, while Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that he isn't worried as to whether or not Messi leaves, Beckham has hinted that a move might happen. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Beckham talked about the subject matter even adding that anything could happen in the near future.
"Everyone has their wish list. But if you look at the way Leo and Cristiano are still playing, even at what you might think is the later stage of their careers, I don't see it ending for them. They're playing at such a high level that it's hard to see them leaving the clubs they are at. But we will see. You never know what can happen in football," said Beckham to Daily Mail.
