The 27-year-old was linked to Juventus in the last summer transfer window, but remained in Madrid under the management of Zinedine Zidane, as the Merengues set a €75 million price for the attacking midfielder.
However, the former Malaga star has only been used in two La Liga matches so far - starting just once - which seems to indicate that he is fallen down the pecking order in Zidane's team.
