David Silva has announced that he’ll leave Manchester City at the end of the season when his contract expires. He is now intrigued by the idea of becoming the star face of David Beckham’s new MLS side Inter Miami. The Spanish midfielder has spent 10 decorated years at Manchester City.

Having already announced that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of this season,  David Silva has insists that he won’t move to any other Premier League team. But the Spaniard is reportedly  fascinated by the idea of becoming the marquee signing of the new Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. The Independent has reported that part owner David Beckham is keen on adding a marquee superstar to his newly formed club and believes that Silva is just the man.

The report adds that by adding a Spanish speaking star on board, Beckham looks to please South Florida’s Hispanic community. A globally-renowned megastar himself, the former Real Madrid superstar knows the importance of having a recognized name on the sheet. David Silva is exactly the kind of player Beckham is looking for, as he is hands down one of the best midfielders to have graced the Premier League.

The Spaniard has managed to be a standout performer in every season, playing a key role as Manchester City won 4 Premier League titles, 4 League Cups and 2 FA cups. He was also a part of Spain’s golden generation, a team that won the 2010 World Cup and two Euros, either side of the World Cup. The MLS season begins in March and if Silva is to join the Florida team, he’ll miss as much as three months of action for the Beckham’s side. Inter Miami chiefs and owners are scouting players that they can add to their ranks, with the word on the street that they are trying to lure Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez to the US.
