Donyell Malen is on the radar of Arsenal and another 45 clubs after a fine start of the season. The PSV starlet has been on the headlines for quite some time now, with Arsenal keeping tabs on the £50 million youngster after selling the Dutchman for a mere £600,000 in the summer of 2017 to PSV.

Mirror reports that as many as 45 clubs have enquired about the Dutchman, with all 45 clubs having asked PSV to update them about Malen’s transfer status. The 20-year-old was dubbed as the new Thierry Henry during his days at Arsenal academy but struggled to make the step up into the first team. However, since his move to PSV in the summer of 2017, Malen has done very well for himself.

He's found the net 11 times in 13 games for PSV this season, with the club now valuing him at 100 times the price that they paid to Arsenal a little over two years ago. The Dutchman has been rising to the stage and grabbing every opportunity that comes his way, even scoring on his debut for the Netherlands during the latest international break. During his time at Arsenal, he featured in two friendlies under Arsene Wenger before eventually being sold in 2017.

He recently scored a massive 5 goals in a match in Eredivisie against Vitesse Arnhem, which is a record only held by Dutch legend Marco Van Besten. Notably, Malen was also the part of Ajax junior team when he was 7, sharing the dressing room with Matthijs De Ligt and Justin Kluivert. Malen packed his bags and moved to Arsenal at the age of 16 as he wanted to follow the footsteps of his idol and legend Dennis Bergkamp but eventually had to find his way back to the Netherlands, after finding his pathway into the first team, much harder than he expected.
