Churchill Brothers finished atop the table with 40 points, while Inter Kashi were second with 39. However, the title race is under review due to a disputed match from January 13, when Inter Kashi lost 0-2 to Namdhari FC. They later claimed Namdhari’s Cledson Carvalho da Silva (Degol) was ineligible due to suspension from four yellow cards. Initially, the AIFF Disciplinary Committee awarded Kashi a 3-0 win, pushing them to 42 points.

Both clubs have celebrated as champions. Churchill Brothers, a storied Goan club, believe they've sealed promotion to the ISL. Meanwhile, Inter Kashi, only in their second season, have posted title-winning celebrations in West Bengal. The outcome hinges on whether Degol's yellow in a match where he also saw red is officially counted. Until the AIFF decides, Indian football’s second division remains without a crowned winner.
