According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski will have only 72 hours to recover after finishing his international duties with Poland against Malta on March 24. Adding to the concern, the Polish striker suffered a minor calf issue during Poland’s first match of the break, although his national team has downplayed the injury’s severity.

In the previously scheduled fixture against Osasuna on March 8—which was postponed due to the passing of Dr Carles Minarro—Flick had already planned to rest Lewandowski, who was nursing an injury from a Champions League match against Benfica. Given the recurring situation, Flick might stick to his earlier plan and deploy Torres up front.

Barcelona’s priority remains to avoid risks with Lewandowski while counting on Torres’ versatility for the crucial Osasuna game.
