Gujarat Fortunegiants coach Manpreet Singh has stated that encounters such as the one against the Bengaluru Bulls are a good exhibition of the sport and these are matches where not a team but the game itself wins. The match between both sides ended in a tie with the scoreline of 30-30.

The crowd at the TransStadia Indoor Stadia in Gujarat were in for a treat as they watched a thrilling game of kabaddi between the home side and the Bengaluru Bulls. The match ultimately ended in a tie with both the teams scoring 30 points each. The highest scorer of the match was Sachin bagging 11 points in the match for the hosts. Coach of the Fortunegiants Manpreet Singh said that it was a good exhibition of Kabaddi.

“This is what the platform of VIVO Pro Kabaddi is made for. The excitement is what draws the crowd. Given the support of the fans, it was destined to be a great match. It was a win for kabaddi,” Singh said after the match.

“That's part of the sport. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. It would be boring if the same team won every time. We could have won the game and so could have Bengaluru Bulls. So it's okay,” Singh said.

Sachin was the highest scorer of the match with 11 points and the coach praised the raider for his performance statng that he had high expectations from the player and he was not disappointed.

“I’m very pleased with him and how well he's doing. We rested him yesterday with the view of unleashing him today and he hasn't disappointed,” he added.

On the other hand, the Bengaluru Bulls too did not have a bad performance though the coach rued his team’s performance in the second half. Pawan Kumar was the top scorer for the Bengaluru team bagging ten points on the way to his super ten. Rohit Kumar too scored six raid points and stood second for the Bulls. The coach BC Ramesh also praised the performance of the opposition players.

“We executed our game plan perfectly till halftime. Offence, defence, substitutes - they were all on the same page and we were comfortable in the game. In the second half, our raiding wasn't up to the mark and our defence was slightly loose with their tackles. Sachin was outstanding tonight. Their defence is outstanding and it showed it in the second half. Towards the end, they had the game in their hands but Rohit saved the match,” Ramesh said.

Bulls raider Kashiling Adake said that the team has enough raiding prowess and it's just a matter of who’s day it is and who is coming good on that particular day.

“It's all about who's having a great day. We have three good raiders on the mat as well as a couple more on the bench. So whoever does well, it is the job of the other two raiders to deputise for him. We aren't concerned with who is raiding how much. It's about the team,” Adake said.
