Siddharth Desai is of the belief that even though its taking time, he will be able to get back to his best eventually in the seventh edition of the league. Telugu Titans lost their third successive match against Dabang Delhi KC on Wednesday and Siddharth scored a total of eight points.

Telugu Titans are in a rut which they don't seem to be getting out of. They have lost three games in their home leg as of yet in the season. They weren’t able to win the match against Dabang Delhi despite their best efforts and succumbed to a 33-34 defeat. In the past two matches, neither the defence was doing well nor the raiding but in this match raiding department was considerably better courtesy of Suraj Desai.

Siddharth Desai who was supposed to be the main raider for Telugu Titans hadn’t performed well in previous two matches in which he scored five points each while in the third match, he scored eight points which was the second most after his brother’s 18 raid points.

“The first two games didn’t exactly go according to plan. But I’ve worked on my game and I feel like I played better today. Slowly but surely, I’ll get back to my best,” Siddharth said in the post-match press conference.

While Siddharth is still struggling to find his mojo back, his brother Suraj set the stadium on fire with his performance last night. Suraj in his debut match got 18 points in 15 attempts and also broke the record for the most points on debut which was coincidentally previously held by his brother who scored 16 points on debut.

“Although it was my debut, I was confident that I would score and contribute. I wanted to contribute in defence as well and I’ll try to do that in the upcoming game,” Suraj said about his performance.

Even after some brilliant raiding performances Titans fell short in the defence and they had as many as 13 unsuccessful tackle attempts. Their captain Abozar Mighani wasn’t even able to score a single point in the defence.

“Our defence could have played better. We didn’t execute our gameplan to the fullest, but it was a good performance and we fell just short,” said coach Gholamreza Mazandarani.
