From “Arsene Who?” to “There's only one Arsene Wenger” to “Arsene out”, along with some occasional “In Arsene we trust”—Arsene Wenger has seen every possible high and low since making his first appearance in the baffled press room, while sporting a geeky glass, when he was officially unveiled as the new manager in 1996. Footballing giants have arrived and left, underdogs have rise and faltered, clubs have been acquired and sold, but Arsene Wenger has remained the only constant in English football in the past two decades, apart from the terrible weather.

He now looks battle-weary, and the spark in his eyes has dimmed just a bit. The Professor, who has slayed a lot of giants in his time, now struggles with the zipper of his coat, which seems to get longer every season. But then, age spares none.

Whether he will go on to add another Premier League crown to his tally, and whether he will finally change his tactics are topics for another day. Right now though, we can only look back, on the eve of his 20th anniversary as the Arsenal manager, and cherish what has been a legendary ride so far. Here are the most memorable moments in Wenger's Arsenal career so far, and we hope he goes on to add a few more before calling it a day.
