Chris Gayle picks Virender Sehwag as his opening partner in his dream XI

Chris Gayle picked Virender Sehwag as his opening partner in his dream cricket team, while also picking himself to captain his dream team. The explosive Jamaican also revealed his most embarrassing moment on a cricket field in a rapid fire session during his recent visit to Bangalore.

Chris Gayle’s love affair with Bangalore started the day he signed to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL in 2011. Ever since then, the big-hitting Jamaican has gone on to seal his place in the hearts of the Bangalore locals, particularly thanks to his stunning whirlwind innings of 175* in 2013.

Upon his latest visit to the garden city on July 15th, Gayle talked about a bunch of things including who is the better dancer between him and Dwayne Bravo and his most embarrassing moment on a cricket field in an interview with Sportskeeda. While Gayle said he was a better dancer than Bravo, he also revealed that getting out for a pair against Sri Lanka in Kandy in 2001 was his most embarrassing moment.

On another note, Gayle said that he would be the captain of his own dream XI side, and picked former Indian opener Virender Sehwag to partner him at the top of the order. Individually, both Gayle and Sehwag were two of the most destructive openers the game has ever seen and it must be said that this duo would have struck fear into any opposition while entertaining their fans at the same time.
