With Virat Kohli being on the verge of getting yet another ODI century, everyone was waiting for it to happen in bated breath. However, when MS Dhoni shifted gears and deposited a six straight into the crowd, the Indian skipper failed to control himself and was laughing like a kid.

After Hardik Pandya set the stage for the lower-order fireworks with some vintage hits, MS Dhoni came out to the crease to build on the same. India had two options in front of them - one is to give a chance to Kohli to score his 42nd century and the other is to work towards a strong first innings total. As it turned out, India approached the second formula and MS Dhoni went for big sixes from the word go.

On the very first delivery of the 49th over, Mitchell Starc bowled a full ball, that angled into MS Dhoni and allowed him the downtime to have a proper crack at it. Dhoni just waited and when the ball reached his arc, he swung his bat wildly in order to send the ball over the deep backward square leg fence for four.

The thing here was that it didn’t just land near the boundary, it actually travelled the stand at hit the final point of the stand. Watching the ferocity of the hit, Kohli, who was also having a brilliant run out there in the middle, failed to contain his excitement and looked at the hit with an amazed look . Then he came near his former skipper and while congratulating Dhoni, he burst into laughter.
