Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba slams Serie A after Curva Nord letter

Romelu Lukaku was the target of racist abuse last game against Cagliari, directed from the home fans. Feud up with the recurrent situation in Serie A, former Chelsea player Demba Ba expressed his discontent in an interview, where he urged all black players to leave the league immediately.

Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba has expressed his anger against Curva Nord following allegations of racism against Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku. The incident took place against Caligari, with many players coming out in aid of Lukaku as they supported theĀ striker in what was a clear act of racism from Cagliari fans.

The 34-year-old Ba was the one of the most enthusiastic about the situation, directing harsh words to Serie A fans and at the same time advising black players to get out of Italy after a letter released by Curva Nord.Ā In the letter recently posted on social media, Inter Milan's Curva Nord supporters expressed that the chants were not racist but a 'form of respect'.Ā

"And here's the reason why I decided not to play there when I could... And at that point I wish all the black players would get out of this league! Ladies and gentlemen it's 2019 Instead of going forward we're going backwards and I think as players we need to unify and make a statement on this matter to keep this game clean and enjoyable for everyone. I hope the football federations all over the world react strongly on all cases of discrimination!!!," said Ba reports Goal.

It is to be seen if Lukaku or any other player will continue to suffer from these racist insults throughout the season, or if the Italian federation will step up and put an end to everyone that's part of it.Ā
