Bengaluru Bulls coach Randhir Singh has said that they lost their last night’s match against Haryana Steelers because they gave away too many points toward the end and they could have played better. He also appreciated Rohit Kumar’s performance as the skipper was the best player for them.

This was the second loss of the season for Bengaluru Bulls in six matches they have played so far. Bengaluru Bulls were leading by 15-6 after they inflicted an all-out on Haryana Steelers around seven minutes into the game. Slowly Haryana Steelers came back into the game where they inflicted an all-out on the Bulls and reduced the lead to one point by the end of the first half. After that, the match was neck to neck till the last three minutes where Pawan Sehrawat got tackled and Haryana gained a lead on which they build on further.

“Towards the end we could’ve played better. We gave away a few points that we usually wouldn’t. But these things happen,” Bengaluru Bulls coach Randhir Singh said in the post-match press conference.

Despite skipper Rohit Kumar’s all-round performance, the Bulls weren’t able to win. Rohit scored 10 raid points as well as two tackle points which made him the best performer for the Bulls.

“It was a brilliant performance I believe. Last game, too, he had eight points. Both raiders played well. We had control over proceedings for most of the game,” coach Randhir Singh said on Rohit’s performance.

Apart from the skipper, not many players were able to make an impact for the Bulls. Even though Pawan scored seven points, he got out at a crucial point which led to Bengaluru's loss. In defence Amit Sheron, Rohit and Pawan scored two points each. Bengaluru Bulls let the Haryana raiders make a comeback, especially in the second half.

“We kept their raiders quiet in the first half, however in the second half they fared much better. In the final three minutes as well, they trumped us, which usually doesn’t happen as we are extremely good in the closing stages of matches,” coach Randhir Singh signed off.
