India to face South Africa and West Indies in World T20 warm-up

India will take on West Indies and South Africa on March 10 and 12 respectively in the two warm-up games for the 2016 ICC World T20, which will be held in India from March 8 to April 3. The warm-up games for the other teams, which will participate in the qualifier round, will take place from March 3 to 6.

The International Cricket Council announced the match timings and schedule of the warm-up matches on Thursday and have allotted the Men in Blue two games – one against the Proteas and the other against the West Indies.

India will play host to the West Indies at the Eden Gardens on March 10 while the match against South Africa will be hosted by the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 12. Both matches are scheduled to start at 7.30pm.

The Men in Blue are in the Super-10 stage Group 2 along with New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan. The fifth spot in the group will be taken up by the winner of the qualification Group A. The Super 10 stage Group 1 include defending champions Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies, England and the Group B winner. (Also Read: India announce squad for T20 World Cup)

The warm-up matches for the teams in the first round will take place from March 3 to 6 in Dharamsala and Mohali.
