Jayant Yadav today bowled a huge no-ball, which hit the stumps of Australian opener David Warner before crossing the third-man boundary for a four. With the wicket providing a lot of help for the spinners, Warner shuffled across too much and in the process, exposed the leg stump.

On a track, where the ball started turning from the first ball, Matt Renshaw and David Warner defied the Indian spin duo of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin for long periods of the first session. With Warner and Renshaw played with positive intent, Virat Kohli introduced his third spinner Jayant Yadav into the attack, who made an immediate impact by knocking over the stumps of Warner in the 15th over.

However, the on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough declared it as no-ball. Replays clearly suggested that Jayant had overstepped by a massive margin. Skipper Virat Kohli was visibly disappointed by the gaffe, and what added to his frustration was that the ball ran away for four byes.

But, Warner’s joy didn’t last long as Umesh Yadav rattled his stumps to send him back to the hut in the 28th over.
