Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan, who has come under a lot of criticism recently for his lack of form, has posted an inspirational message on Instagram with a picture of him working out in the gym. The 31-year-old has said that he will “get up again” and continue to chase his dreams.

The lack of runs from the Indian openers has been perhaps the biggest cause of headache for the Indian team in the recent times. In the recently concluded ODI series against England, the Indian openers had contributed a combined total of 37 runs, and every time the middle-order has been asked to rescue the team.

With Rohit Sharma missing from the lineup due to an injury, a lot of responsibility had fallen on the shoulder of Shikhar Dhawan while batting alongside an inexperienced KL Rahul. Dhawan, though, has struggled to find any semblance of form, apart from a couple of delightful cover drives he played in Pune and scored just 12 runs in the two matches he had played in the three-match ODI series.

Fans and critics have questioned Dhawan’s place in the side, and it will intriguing to see if he continues to find a place at the top when Rohit Sharma returns for the Champions Trophy. However, 'Gabbar' is not willing to give up his place without a fight as evident from his post on the Instagram.

“Sometimes life knock u down even when you work really hard for it!!! I am not the one who gonna keep lying there. I get up again and work hard to chase my dreams again. Nothing can stop you if u don't stop,” Dhawan wrote on the Instagram.
