Fakhar Zaman credits Brendon McCullum for his attacking batting style
Fakhar Zaman revealed that his attacking batting style is inspired by former Kiwi skipper Brendon McCullum whom he played with during the Pakistan Super League. The Pakistani southpaw further added that he implemented the suggestions he got from McCullum and they have worked wonders for him.
"The first time I met him, he saw me batting and he told me 'Fakhar, you'll play all our matches, but ensure you play this (style of) game everywhere," Zaman told cricket.com.au
Zaman replaced Shehzad Ahmed at the top of Pakistan's batting line-up and went on to play consecutive blistering knocks of 50 against Sri Lanka, 57 against England in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy and a magnificent 114 against India in the final that helped Pakistan thrash their arch-rivals by 180 runs.
