Cricket rules can sometimes be very harsh and a silly mistake results in harsh penalties every now and then. The best example of the same was on show today when Mushfiqur Rahim dived to save a ball from going to the boundary, but umpire gave five extra runs to Windies as the ball hit Rahim’s helmet.
How great a player one could be, every now and then, he will disappoint. Mushfiqur Rahim’s contribution to the development of Bangladesh cricket is absolutely brilliant, but if you just have to find the one player who has given maximum moments that they would want to forget, Rahim again would top the chart. Had he missed it, he would have conceded only four runs, but now, the mistake resulted in the visitors awarding with five penalty runs. Although it didn’t affect the eventual result, it gave a chance to meme-makers to troll Rahim again.
