Ishant Sharma’s no-ball analysis by Fox Sports created a huge rage on Twitter and umpire Kumar Dharmasena was at the receiving end of a lot of flak. However, today, Chris Gaffaney pulled off a Dharmasena as he failed to recognise a Josh Hazlewood no-ball despite the latter overstepping by a mile.

In the final innings in Adelaide, Ishant bowled a no-ball to Aaron Finch and umpire raised his finger as well. However, upon checking the replays, it was called as a no-ball, much to the dismay of the bowler. Once again, Ishant’s ball hit Nathan Lyon on the pads later in the innings, but umpire immediately called it a no-ball.

That intrigued Fox Sports Australia to check the videos that they have and they released that the Indian pacer had bowled a total of 16 times in the first innings alone. A revelation that made both Dharmasena and Ishant nervous as Dharmasena yesterday called ball despite Ishant was inside the crease and Ishant also didn’t bowl a single over from the side Dharmasena was standing.

However, today, Josh Hazlewood did the same today and the only difference was it was not Dharmasena rather it was Chris Gaffaney. The third ball of 48th over of the innings that Hazlewood bowled was on the fourth stump line outside off. While Ajinkya Rahane didn’t throw a bat around and left it alone, there was a sense of purpose in Hazlewood’s delivery.

However, Fox, who is sharing its live feed with Sony for its Indian audience, showed that the Aussie pacer overstepped by a mile when he released the ball and it should have called a no-ball. But as things stand, Gaffaney didn’t call that.
